It was a good idea, and pretty much stress free, as we had the whole month to complete the trade around other projects and daily life. January went off without a hitch. February, not so much, because my trade buddy vanished off the face of the internets only to resurface a year later. March went well, as did April and May. My June buddy bailed out on me, so I completed the trade with my sister instead. This is where things got rocky. I had some personal issues to take care of, and things just escalated from there. The only trade I actually completed after that was Decembers.
But that was five years ago. I’m ready to try another run!
Starting January 2010, I’m going to take one trade a month until December. If you wish to trade with me, grab a month you’re pretty certain you will have the time to do your thing. Months are first come, first dibs based on my approval.
RULES:
1) Trades are treated as a commission and the quality shall reflect such. If you don’t want to do full color and only trade sketch or inks, or some other type of art trade, I will oblige, but you’ll get the same in return.
2) If you need to bail out on your month, wish to switch to a different, vacant month, or wish to trade months with someone else, you must notify me before your month arrives, or the one you wish to switch to, whichever comes first. If you want to switch months with someone else, they must approve it.
3) Your ability to draw must be at least within my own ability range, which means you must have a decent grasp of anatomy. Style doesn’t really matter to me, as long as I can see you have quality work.
4) We can do a themed trade if you want, either just a general theme of your choice, or if you’ve got a holiday month, something like that.
And that’s about it. If you want a trade spot, either comment here, send me a note on FA, or throw an email my way. I’ll check out your gallery and get back to you.
Artists from 2005 who were on my trade list but never got to trade, you have absolute dibs on the month of your choice.
