FAQ 6 – Satisfaction
What happens if you finish a commission and I don’t like it? Can I get a refund?
That shouldn’t happen. You will be sent updates by email after each major stage. Pick out what you don’t like from the sketch, or give it the OK. The sketch will meet your approval before I ink it. I may ask you stylistic questions about the picture while I’m inking it, and if necessary send you a preview of the inked piece. Also, while CG coloring I’ll send you previews as I go, especially if I have questions about how you think the colors look, and finally a preview of the finished piece. If you decide to make changes in things like colors, that can be done before it is printed if it’s a CG piece. If it was colored by hand, I can’t change it. I will not redraw a picture if you become unsatisfied after the inking stage. I also do not give out refunds.
What will I get?
If you’ve won an auction, it really depends on the contents of the auction. If however you contacted me on the side and worked something out, if you would like a copy of the original traditional sketch, you will need to notify me before I start, and I’ll make sure to do the sketch and finished piece separately.
You will also get a digital copy of the sketch, a digital copy of the inked version, and a digital copy of the finished piece no matter which art method you choose.
Would you sell or auction off prints/copies of my commissioned piece?
No. The commission is for the person who pays for it and ONLY them. What they do with it after they get it is up to them, but on my side it stays put. Not only is it illegal to sell artwork of other people’s characters without their permission, but it is disrespectful. I do not disrespect my customers in that way. However, I am free to display them in my online galleries for free unless it was specified at any time before starting that it is to be a private commission. Private commissions stay offline on my end, and are up to you to decide what you do with them on yours.
If you still have an unanswered question, feel free to email me at mosa(at)rainbow-mouse(dot)net or comment, and I’ll answer you as soon as possible.
