FAQ 5 – Shipping
How much is shipping and what is the shipping method?
Shipping prices depend on the size of the package and where it’s being shipped to. A single piece measuring 9×11, is $12 within the continental US via UPS or FedEX. If you live outside the US or want your package faster, or are receiving a bigger package, then you’ll need to ask so I can find out. I can also combine shipping on multiple pieces so you don’t end up paying twice as much for two pictures.
It takes anywhere from 3 days to a week or two from past experiences. If you’d like it shipped faster, we’ll talk about it.
I’d prefer my piece sent electronically to me instead. Is that possible?
Sure it is. All commissions are uploaded to my private webspace and a link will be sent to you so you can retrieve it. Also available in the folder corresponding with your piece will be the sketches, inks, web sized jpg, full sized jpg (if there is one), thumbnail, and full PSD file (if there is one). Shipping prices will be omitted.
How will my purchase be packaged?
The art will be inserted into a bubblewrap envelope if it is 9×12″ or smaller. If it is a larger piece it will be either rolled into a poster tube, or pressed between two slabs of foam board. If the piece is 11×14 or smaller, then it will be inserted in plastic for protection from the elements.
Do you insure my package?
Yes, insurance cost is included in your shipping price, as are tracking numbers.
