If you were here before at some point and are thinking “What happened to all of the art that was here?”, don’t worry. It’s still here, though most isn’t visible at the moment. I’m slowly working on adding old art bit by bit.
Working on the site a bit, trying to organize things and such. If you can’t find something, or a link doesn’t work, don’t worry, things are bound to be broken for a week or so.
Back in 2005, I had a list of monthly art trades. I scheduled one a month for the whole year. Those who wanted to trade with me picked the month of their choice, and that’s when we did the trade.
It was a good idea, and pretty much stress free, as we had the whole month to complete the trade around other projects and daily life. January went off without a hitch. February, not so much, because my trade buddy vanished off the face of the internets only to resurface a year later. March went well, as did April and May. My June buddy bailed out on me, so I completed the trade with my sister instead. This is where things got rocky. I had some personal issues to take care of, and things just escalated from there. The only trade I actually completed after that was Decembers. But that was five years ago. I’m ready to try another run! Starting January 2010, I’m going to take one trade a month until December. If you wish to trade with me, grab a month you’re pretty certain you will have the time to do your thing. Months are first come, first dibs based on my approval. RULES: 1) Trades are treated as a commission and the quality shall reflect such. If you don’t want to do full color and only trade sketch or inks, or some other type of art trade, I will oblige, but you’ll get the same in return. 2) If you need to bail out on your month, wish to switch to a different, vacant month, or wish to trade months with someone else, you must notify me before your month arrives, or the one you wish to switch to, whichever comes first. If you want to switch months with someone else, they must approve it. 3) Your ability to draw must be at least within my own ability range, which means you must have a decent grasp of anatomy. Style doesn’t really matter to me, as long as I can see you have quality work. 4) We can do a themed trade if you want, either just a general theme of your choice, or if you’ve got a holiday month, something like that. And that’s about it. If you want a trade spot, either comment here, send me a note on FA, or throw an email my way. I’ll check out your gallery and get back to you. Artists from 2005 who were on my trade list but never got to trade, you have absolute dibs on the month of your choice. On Saturday the 25th, I attended the Florida furry convention known as Megaplex. Being my first con and all, I had no badge, not even the barest smidgen of costume, and no art to sell. I didn’t even bring a sketchbook to draw in. As it was, I worked all the night before, and so by the time I left the con in the evening, I had been up for about twenty-four hours and I was tired.
I did meet some awesome people though. Some people from FA who I had never heard of before, and two who I had, one of which was a planned meeting. We hung out pretty much the entire day in the game room, only really leaving to check out the dealers den for a few minutes, and getting food at Chick-fil-a and McDonalds. I am currently taking commissions. Due to a bit of financial troubles, I have some specials going on right now. Each week I open about four slots that will get done THAT week (as long as the commissioner is quick to communicate with me), for anything $20 and under. $20 will get you a single character, full color piece like so, so, and so. You can also purchase inked works, or sketches. Anything that will not take me more than four consecutive hours to complete and costs $20 or less. Auctions are the exception to this rule. If the price goes past $20, I will add more detail to the piece as the price warrants.
Regular commissions are still open as well, though I generally have a waiting list for those, and the wait is longer. |
